Friends of the Leiden Synagogue

The Society Friends of the Leiden Synagogue
Maintaining and restoring the synagogue (1762) and the Jewish cemetery in Katwijk aan den Rijn (1758) requires continuous investments. The Society Friends of the Leiden Synagogue supports these activities. The prime goal of this organization is to maintain the synagogue as a house of prayer and education and to upkeep the Jewish cemetery in Katwijk aan den Rijn. Both are Dutch historic landmarks. Apart from being a house of prayer with ritual objects, the synagogue also hosts cultural and social events, lectures and courses for Jews and non-Jews alike. To be able to continue these activities financial contributions are very important and most welcome.
